May 4th, 2009 - Ice is Gonzo!

At 12:40 AM, the wind kicked up a storm and a mass of free floating ice and blew the ice apart like shattered tempered glass. 20 minutes later there was nothing but water! So, with the ice out, let the festivities begin starting with spring clean-up on Saturday, May 9th at noon.

April End - More Updates

This last weekend was brutal: sun, wind, rain and snow! While this is an older picture, it kinda looked like this only the ice was thicker. Even tho the wind was howlin', the lake wasn't movin' so, it is doubtful that it will be gone this coming beginning of May. But, for sure, it will be gone the following week and we will be skiing once again. The lake right now is very shallow so don't even think about heading east from my place near the shoreline because it is a minefield. Lucky I bought another 10 ft of dockage!

Other newz, Club AGM on April 29th at the St. John's Ambulance building across from the Percy Page Centre compliments of Big Joe ZZZZ. Minutes will be kept and hours will be wasted. See you there...

April Mid - Wiz Update

The lake is still frozen but is crystallizing so that is the good newz. Bad newz is that we had very little if any spring run-off and the lake is shallower than it was last fall! What that means is I have to extend my dock 10 feet! And, all those hidden rocks on the east end are going to be a flippin' hazard unless we get a smack full of rain in the next short while.

Further updates on the Ice-Out predictions will come after next weekend but the lake is turning that dark blue indicating a meltdown. Methinks, unless we get some hot weather and a bunch of wind, it will be May before the ice disappears.

Just So You Know!!!

I asked Joe Boy to take over this website last Yehblah but, he was just too drunk to remember, too lazy eat'n donuts and pyrogies or vegging by the TV. Anyways, we are heading into the 2009 Season shortly and, we have a lot of stuff on our plate. The WizardWorld Cup will be moved to the site of the 2009 Worlds at Predator Bay on July 4th, 2009; Lindsey Trueman is getting married on May 25th, the World Waterski Championships will be held on August 3-9 and you can get tiks cheap until April, 2009 and then they will triple in price - go to http://www.waterskiworlds.com/ for more info and do it now! I think we should all pitch in and get a VIP tent! Waddaya think Roy Boy???? It's $10K and will hold 20 people but I think I can push that!!! Oh yeah, the Nat's will be held at Shalom the day after the Worlds!!!

What else is knew? Don't mess with nor buy a Mercedes Suv - they shatter and cost a lot to fix - story at 11.

I got 2 boats for sale. A 2006 196 Nautique Team Edition with a very loud stereo and a very fast engine (6 Liter - 375 HP). I also have a 2007 206 Nautique "Loaded", also with a 6 liter engine and it is faster than my 196. Call me if you are interested at 780-497-1719 if you are interested. Wazzup with the Club. Don't know! Do we have room for more members? Dunno that either but maybe.

It's nice that the weather has left us with a bit of snow but a total pain in the butt to shovel but, or butt, we will at least have water in the lake this year.

Other rumors - I'm workin' on it as we speak - or possibly, as I speak but then again, I have the com dot com.

Now that I have this silly program installed in this computer and not the other viral ridden piece of Microsoft garbage which will soon be sent to the recycle bin unless someone wants it, I may have time to update it. I need pics from the members because, it looks kewl! Like some pics of surf dudes and dudettes last summer! Come on lazy people, learn how to type and send files.
