Ice went out May 4. Took a few docks but those guys are idiots. A bit of debris to say the least. Next weekend, May 17th is the Queeg's birthday weekend. 3 days of hello fun! Last weekend, big party at Brill's. B'day for Pigtail gurl et al. May 17th is Clean-Up weekend. Bring yer rake! |

Big Suckage! On April 19, 2008, a big blizzard hit Wizard and Alberta in general!
Need I say more???!!! I took this pic on Sunday but the storm started Saturday and in the ensuing week, dumped up to 40 cm's of snow and, got quite cold. I was out there this weekend (April 26) and gave my little bunny some Carats for her anniversary and took some measurements... He he he...
Note how deep the quad ruts I made! Just above the "P" you will see a wet spot on the lake. The "ice" is 40 cm's thick at that point and still 60 cm's thick in the middle! The darker areas to the left - Ice has cracked and that is full of water - about 15 cms deep! When the ice is about to break up, it crystallizes first - this ice is still solid - no crystallization! Sorry kids - May 10 is my best guess at this point and with no wind - it could be later. The melt-down continues and the coyotes are having a feast on lame a$$ ducks wallowing in small openings. It's a hoot doncha think? Anyhoo haw, we will be back on the water soon. With our new Nautique! Can't wait to burn off some of this winter fat! - April 27, 2008 |

I'll keep ya posted. Meanwhile, got pics of Roberto and Candy skiing in Malaysia where the Hankster and the Princessa Excessa spend OUR winter months! Wimps! Anyhoo - the Bobster and Bambi went to Malaysia to visit the wimps who can't take the winter anymore - Hankster and La Princessa Excessa (AKA - Cooldip). They even got sum skiing in! Check it out!

The WizardWorld Cup will be hosted at Shalom Water Park on July 5-6, 2008. For years we have held this tournament on the July 1 Long weekend as part of the Canada Day festivities but, with so few long weekends in our short summer that we have cratered to popular consensus and moved the tournament. It will be at least Canadian Record Capable and depending on who is coming, we can upgrade it to IWSF Ranking list. Stay tuned for more newz on this event. |

The meltdown begins and the weather is
getting better! It seems that only a few short weeks ago we were pelted by -40 weather! And, our own Jo Jo decided to take her sled for a dip in one of the open holes in Wizard! Jo got out but her sled is now fraternizing with the lake snakes at the bottom of Wizard Lake! |

Yep, the Emmanator and sister Adele decided to pee in my pool on Sunday. Lots of girl germs now!
Seems that the hot tub was a bit warm so the gurlz did some snow dunking!
And of course, it wouldn't be complete unless someone gave the Wizard Salute!
